Pinzolo - is a town with a population of just over 3,100, located in the northern Italy, in the region of Trentino-South Tyrol, approx. 30 km (as the crow flies) northwest of Trento , just over 100 km southwest of Bolzano (➤ the map)(➤ the map). Year-round tourist destination, winter sports center.

Pinzolo is located in the province of Trento, at an altitude of 774 m above sea level, in the upper part of the Val Rendena valley , by the SS239 road, approx. 13 km southwest of Madonna di Campiglio . On the west side of the Val Rendena valley lies the Adamello-Presanella mountain group (Alpi dell'Adamello e della Presanella) belonging to the Rhaetian Alps, with the highest peaks of Adamello (3539 m) and Cima Presanella (3558 m); on the eastern side, the valley is bounded by the Brenta Dolomites (Dolomiti di Brenta), with the highest peak Cima Brenta (3151 m).

In summer, Pinzolo, thanks to the extensive tourist infrastructure and the proximity of Madonna di Campiglio, can be a good base for people interested in mountain trips of various levels of difficulty. In winter, the Pinzolo - Val Rendena / Dolomiti di Brenta ski resort is connected with the resorts of Madonna di Campiglio / Dolomiti di Brenta and Folgarida - Marilleva - Val di Sole / Dolomiti di Brenta (markers and stand for Folgarida and Marilleva respectively). Skiers have at their disposal a total of 150 km of routes of varying difficulty, located at an altitude of 800-2580 m above sea level, and nearly 60 lifts.
